Take a Coach Tour

Sit back, relax and let the friendly team at King Island Coaches show you the island they love!

On the afternoon of your arrival, take in the early history of Currie settlement with visits to the Historical Museum, King Island Kelp Industries, Currie Lighthouse and Historic Boat House.

Refreshed from your overnight stay at the King Island Gem Motel, your guide will be ready to join you on the Scenic South Tour.  The breathtaking scenery of Ettrick Bay, Pearshape Lagoon, calcified Forest, Seal Rocks and Sea Elephant Bay will reward camera happy visitors with memorable photos.  The abandoned Sheelite Mine and the Electricity Generating Wind Farm give an insight into some of the many industries on the island.

Explore the townships of Naracoopa and Grassy and marvel at the relaxed pace of life.  The kelp surrounding the island has led to a range of industries including King Island Kelp Craft.

Lunch, morning and afternoon tea are provided on this wonderful day out.

You’ll wonder at how such a small island can be so jam packed with interesting things to see and places to visit.  The Wickham Tour visits the Reekara Complex, the wreck of “The Shannon”, Cape Wickham Lighthouse and shipwreck sites.  You won’t want to leave King Island Dairies Cheese Factory as you sample the award winning cheeses and have the opportunity to purchase some to take home.  Martha Lavinia Beach and Pennys Lagoon offer more scenic views.  Lunch, morning and afternoon tea are provided.

Your final morning can be spent wandering around Currie, chatting to a fisherman at the wharf or indulging in a famous King Island Bakery pie.
